This model is based on the Border Patrol backpack, which was specially designed for the Finnish Border Guard in the 1980s. Thanks to its internal aluminum frame construction, sturdy padded shoulder straps, and removable hip belt, the Jääkäri L carries heavy loads comfortably and stably.

The backpack can be configured flexibly: the roll-top closure at the top, the zipper at the bottom, and the adjustable divider allow the bag to be used as one large compartment or divided into separate sections. A zippered pocket in the lid provides space for valuables such as a phone, wallet, and travel documents.

Thanks to the adjustable compression straps and PALS system, the backpack can be expanded modularly and is suitable for a wide range of activities, from multi-day hikes to military applications. The internal hydration bladder holder with a hose outlet also makes the backpack suitable for hydration systems.

Technical specifications:

Capacity: approx. 55 liters

Weight: 2.4 kg

Dimensions: 31 × 65 × 22 cm (W × H × D)

Main material: 1000D Cordura (100% polyamide) with PU coating

Webbing: 100% polyester

Frame: aluminum

Adjustable, padded shoulder straps with sternum strap

Removable, padded hip belt (75–144 cm, suitable for a hip circumference of 80–110 cm)

Main compartment with roll-top closure, lid, and bottom zipper

Internal pockets + zippered pocket in the lid

Hydration compartment (up to 3 liters)

PALS webbing all around for expansion

Side compression straps

Warranty: 5 years

Production: Finland/Estonia/Poland
