The Carinthia LIG 5.0 Jacket is the latest generation of the Light Insulation Garment line, Carinthia’s lightest insulation level within its layering system. The LIG has always been the jacket you take with you without compromising anything: efficient warmth at minimal weight and pack volume. In the 5.0, this philosophy has been taken even further with a new outer material and a revised quilting design.

The jacket works both as a standalone jacket in cool temperatures and as a warm layer under a hardshell, and is suitable down to -5 °C. The G-LOFT insulation (80 g/m² on the torso, 60 g/m² in the sleeves) uses CARINTHIA ISO MAPPING to zone the insulation, ensuring warmth is provided where the body needs it. The new outer material is lightweight and quiet, while the adapted quilting design reduces cold spots, and storm flaps protect the zippers of the external pockets from moisture and dirt. The jacket packs into its own inner pocket, so no separate stuff sack is required. Developed for special forces, infantry, police and security personnel, and demanding outdoor use.
