The Dragon Egg® Mk II is a 25+ liter backpack suitable for short patrols or as a larger EDC pack. The pack features three zippered compartments. The main compartment has an internal hydration sleeve and mesh pocket. It also features a center tube exit for a hydration tube. The rear compartment features a padded sleeve that can be used to safely carry multiband radios or a laptop up to 15”. The front compartment of the Direct Action® Dragon Egg® features a zippered mesh pocket and an internal organizer for notepads, GPS devices, writing utensils, and other small essentials. The two redesigned side pockets can carry small, flat items. They are equipped with elastic panels that expand to fit a standard U.S. canteen or 1-liter Nalgene water bottle. The Direct Action® Dragon Egg® also has a soft, velour-lined zippered pocket for glasses, a cell phone, and other valuables. The pack features daisy-chain webbing along the front panel seam for attaching carabiners or similar gear. The laser-cut system is compatible with MOLLE/PALS, making the backpack fully modular while maintaining a low-profile appearance. Thanks to its egg shape, the pack has a smaller height and width than other packs with a similar capacity, making it more comfortable to use with belt kits or ballistic vests. The suspension system consists of comfortable shoulder straps and an internal back stiffener. The waist belt is detachable and can be stowed away. It is made of durable 500D Cordura® nylon fabric with a water-resistant coating. The Combat Vent System® is an innovative ventilation system used in backpacks to increase user comfort. Made from contoured foam profiles with multiple air channels combined with breathable mesh, CVS® keeps the pack away from the back, enhancing air circulation and preventing heat buildup and sweating, while the stiff foam ensures comfort and stability.
