MSR Guardian Purifier
14003
The MSR Guardian Purifier was developed as one of the most advanced water purification systems for use in remote areas. Originally designed for military units, this pump filter is built to function reliably under the harshest conditions and with heavily contaminated water.
The Guardian complies with NSF Protocol P248, the testing standard used by the U.S. military to remove viruses, bacteria, protozoa, and sediment from water under so-called worst-case conditions. This makes the system suitable for use in areas where water quality is uncertain, such as remote wilderness areas or regions with limited sanitation facilities.
The pump delivers a high flow rate of 2.5 liters per minute, without the use of chemicals, batteries, or waiting time. During every pump stroke, the system automatically cleans itself. This self-cleaning action prevents the filter from clogging and eliminates the need for backflushing or manual cleaning. As a result, the flow rate remains constant, even during extended use.
The advanced hollow-fiber cartridge has a pore size of 0.02 micron and is designed to treat more than 10,000 liters of water before replacement is required. The rugged construction withstands intensive use, low temperatures, impacts, and harsh conditions. Thanks to the integrated bottle adapter, purified water can be pumped directly into a drinking bottle.
The MSR Guardian Purifier is suitable for travelers, expeditions, emergency kits, and anyone seeking maximum assurance when purifying drinking water in challenging conditions.
