Objective Protective Lens Red Dot for Crossfire 2

Vortex Front Objective Protection Shield for Red Dot
Crossfire 2

This protective lens is custom-made for the Vortex Crossfire 2 Red Dot (CF-RD2) and protects your red dot's objective lens from scratches and impacts. The protective lens is made of acrylic and has no effect on the light transmission or accuracy of your red dot sight.

The housing is made of 3D-printed TPU—thermoplastic polyurethane—with a hardness of 98A and an operating temperature of up to 138 °C. This material combines hard plastic and silicone, making it reasonably elastic and comparable to rubber. The inside of the accessory features a raised section that fits easily into the recess of the Crossfire 2. This allows the accessory to be attached seamlessly and prevents you from losing the protective lens during use. The complete assembly weighs just 4 grams.

Impact test

The acrylic lens is strong enough to withstand multiple hits from airsoft BBs traveling at approximately 90 meters per second (roughly 1 joule). The test used 0.20-gram BB-type airsoft pellets. In practice, this means the lens will protect against most impacts during airsoft or paintball.

Application: Objective Protection for Vortex Red Dot Crossfire 2

This accessory is essential in any situation where the objective lens of your Vortex Crossfire 2 red dot could be damaged. For example, airsoft BBs could hit the lens. It is also a valuable addition in any other situation where you want to provide the lens with extra protection.

Please note: this lens protects the objective lens against impacts based on official test results. Neither we nor Vortex are liable for any damage that may nevertheless occur to your red dot or its objective lens. This protective lens is not produced or supplied by Vortex but is manufactured externally.
