Spyderco Sage 5 Cobalt Blue G10 SPY27
SP C123PCBL

Spyderco's Sage Series was created to showcase folding knife locking mechanisms and their inventors. One of its most successful members, the Sage 5, highlights Spyderco's own innovative Compression Lock. This locking mechanism is located at the back of the knife. It works by clamping part of the liner against the back of the blade, keeping the knife in the open position. The Sage features a leaf-shaped blade made of CPM SPY27. This steel was specially developed for Spyderco by Crucible and launched on 15-01-2020. It has all the properties you could want: high wear resistance, excellent edge retention, and good corrosion resistance. The handle consists of stainless-steel liners and G-10 scales. G-10 is a composite material with excellent wear resistance, a secure grip (even in wet conditions), and a subtle yet luxurious appearance. The Sage 5 also features a reversible tip-up carry clip and a lanyard hole.
