Tramontane Wind Jacket - Coyote

Helikon-Tex Tramontane Wind Jacket Coyote
KU-TMT-NL-11

The TRAMONTANE jacket is an ultralight windproof layer. It was created to fill the gap between the Blizzard softshell and the Windrunner jacket in the Helikon-Tex range.

The TRAMONTANE weighs approximately 100 g. When packed into the pocket sewn into the chest (the so-called self-pack pocket), it compresses to the size of a soda can. Once packed, it can even fit into a trouser pocket. In summer, when temperatures drop, it works as a standalone protective layer over a T-shirt, for example as a hiking jacket. The low weight of the TRAMONTANE jacket is noticeable when worn: it protects against the wind without restricting movement, so you may even forget you are wearing it. In colder conditions, it pairs perfectly with a fleece or combat shirt from the Patrol line.

The TRAMONTANE jacket is made of very lightweight yet durable WindPack® Nylon. This quick-drying, non-absorbent material is additionally treated with DWR (Durable Water Repellency), helping it repel light rain and snow. Even when wet, the Tramontane jacket dries very quickly. It also features a full-length zipper for good ventilation. Meanwhile, the drawstring at the bottom hem, elastic cuffs, and adjustable hood allow you to retain warmth when needed.

Windproof jackets in the Helikon-Tex range are named after various types of wind. The TRAMONTANE jacket takes its name from the cool northerly or north-easterly wind found in the Mediterranean.
