Since 1996, Xyron has developed and manufactured its own machines and cartridges in Scottsdale, Arizona. Under the name XyronPro, the brand offers its professional range: robust, fully manual cold laminators, from A4 and A3 models to the large-format A1 machine.
At the heart of XyronPro is its patented cold-lamination process. It requires no electricity, battery or warm-up time. The high pressure of the rollers, combined with the quality of the adhesive, ensures even, bubble-free adhesion from edge to edge. Everything is done mechanically, by hand.
That is precisely what makes the machines suitable for use outside the office. Without a generator, battery or power socket, you can laminate wherever it is needed: in a vehicle, tent, command post or in the field. The machine never needs to heat up or cool down and is therefore always ready for immediate use, even after extended storage or transport. When speed is essential, it works without any preparation.
With the XyronPro A1 machine, you can laminate topographic maps, overview boards and briefing maps in a single pass, on site and without a power supply. The result is waterproof and tear-resistant and remains legible in wet and dirty conditions. The map can be written on with a pencil or marker and then wiped clean again, enabling repeated use in the field. Because this is cold-lamination film, you can also cut up to and even through the laminated map without the film coming loose.
Since no heat is involved, the machine is also safe to use alongside materials that are sensitive to heat, such as inkjet prints, photographs and films.
The patented drop-in cartridge system is at the heart of its ease of use. Simply click a cartridge into the machine, then switch between the different adhesive and lamination types within seconds. This means that a single XyronPro machine covers a wide range of applications: permanent adhesive, repositionable adhesive, direct permanent adhesive, double-sided laminating film or a combination of adhesive and film. The cartridges are acid-free, keeping your materials protected without causing them to discolour or deteriorate over time.
The operating principle is simple: feed in the sheet, turn the handle, cut it on the integrated cutting bar and you are done. No odour, no mess and no waiting, while every pass delivers the same result.
In addition to topographic maps, XyronPro is suitable for briefing maps, overview boards, ID cards, labels, signage and documents that pass through many hands every day. Wherever materials need to be finished quickly, neatly and without a power supply, every pass delivers the same reliable result.
