The Aclima DoubleWool balaclava is an extra warm and highly functional wool balaclava, designed for extreme weather conditions. It is intended for expeditions, hunting, outdoor work and demanding activities in cold climates where insulation, breathability and moisture control are critical.
This balaclava combines two of Aclima’s proven materials. The inner layer is made from WoolNet Original, a unique merino wool mesh that creates insulating air pockets while efficiently transporting moisture away from the skin. This helps maintain warmth without causing overheating. The outer layer consists of WarmWool, which adds additional insulation and moves moisture further away from the body.
Strategically placed WoolNet panels around the nose and mouth allow warm exhaled air to escape. This reduces condensation and prevents ice formation, while maintaining excellent breathability. As a result, the balaclava remains comfortable even during prolonged use in very cold conditions.
The close-fitting and flexible design covers the head, neck and face completely, providing full protection against cold and wind. At the same time, it fits comfortably under a helmet or hood.
