Since 1996, Xyron has developed and manufactured its own machines and cartridges in Scottsdale, Arizona. Under the XyronPro name, the brand offers its professional line: rugged, fully hand-operated cold laminating machines, ranging from A4 and A3 models to the large-format A1 machine.

Cold laminating without electricity

At the heart of XyronPro is its patented cold laminating process. No electricity, battery or warm-up time is involved. The high pressure of the rollers, combined with the quality of the adhesive, ensures an even, bubble-free bond from edge to edge. Everything is done mechanically, by hand.

That is precisely what makes these machines suitable for use outside the office. Without a generator, battery or power outlet, you laminate wherever it is needed: in a vehicle, tent, command post or in the field. The machine never needs to heat up or cool down, so it is always ready for immediate use, even after extended storage or transport. When speed matters, it works without any preparation.

Laminating maps in the field

With the XyronPro A1 machine, you laminate staff maps, overview boards and briefing cards in a single pass, on site and without a power supply. The result is waterproof and tear-resistant and remains legible in wet and dirty conditions. The map can be written on with pencil or marker and then wiped clean again, allowing repeated use in the field. Because it uses cold laminating film, you can also cut right up to and even straight through the laminated map without the film peeling away.

Because no heat is involved, the machine can also be used safely alongside heat-sensitive materials such as inkjet prints, photos and films.

One machine, multiple applications

The patented drop-in cartridge system is the key to its ease of use. You simply click a cartridge into the machine and switch between the different adhesive and laminating types within seconds. This means a single XyronPro machine covers a wide range of applications: permanent adhesive, repositionable adhesive, high-tack permanent adhesive, double-sided laminating film or a combination of adhesive and film. The cartridges are acid-free, so your material stays protected without discolouring or deteriorating over time.

In use, the principle is simple: feed in the sheet, turn the handle, cut it off on the integrated cutting bar and you are done. No smell, no mess and no waiting time, while every pass delivers the same result.
