The Savotta Askare is a large, multifunctional hip pack designed for a wide range of tasks and environments. With smart internal organization and multiple external attachment options, this pack offers outstanding versatility. Originally created for sniper teams to carry essential shooter/spotter gear, the Askare has proven to be just as valuable for outdoor use, professional applications, and everyday carry.
With a capacity of approximately 7 litres and plenty of expansion possibilities, the Askare is a true all-rounder. Inside, you will find elastic loops, flat compartments, tie-down points for dummy cords or carabiners, and a 35 x 10 cm loop surface for hook-backed organizers. On the outside, PALS webbing and numerous loops provide space for attaching extra pouches or carrying equipment such as ponchos, tarps, or tourniquets.
The hip belt is widely adjustable (approx. 70–144 cm), secured with a robust 40 mm SR buckle, and attached to stabilizing wings for comfort. You can wear the pack on your lower back, twist it to the front for quick access, carry it as a sling pack, or attach it directly to your backpack compression straps as part of a modular system. The open-ended rear compartment allows you to stow away the belt or use it as a large belt loop.
