Xyron was founded in 1996 in Scottsdale, Arizona, and its machines and cartridges are still produced there today. Under the XyronPro name, the brand offers its professional line: hand-operated machines that apply an adhesive layer and/or laminating film to documents and materials up to 297 mm wide — sized precisely for A4 and A3.
Where conventional laminators rely on heat, XyronPro uses a patented cold lamination process. No electricity, no batteries, no warm-up time. The high pressure of the rollers, combined with the quality of the adhesive, delivers an even transfer and a strong bond across the full surface, edge to edge. That makes the machines safer to work with and kinder to the environment, and it also means heat-sensitive materials such as inkjet prints, photographs and foils can be run without risk.
The patented "drop-in" cartridge system is at the heart of the design. A cartridge simply drops into place, letting you switch between adhesive and laminating types in seconds. One machine therefore covers a wide range of applications: permanent adhesive, repositionable adhesive, direct permanent adhesive, double-sided laminating film, or a combination of adhesive on one side and film on the other. All cartridges are acid-free, protecting your material without degrading it over time.
In use, the process stays straightforward: feed the item in, turn the handle, cut it off on the integrated trimmer bar and you are done. No smell, no mess, no waiting. The machine is ready to go at any moment, even after sitting unused. Because the film is cold-applied, you can trim right up to and even through the document without any lifting or peeling.
