The Nitecore NTP31 is a multi-purpose tactical pen designed for everyday use while retaining practical functionality for emergency situations. Featuring a unique bidirectional bolt mechanism, the pen allows controlled deployment of the writing tip and provides additional capabilities in life-threatening scenarios. Its design enables it to pass security screenings, making it suitable for daily carry.
With a simple movement of the bolt, the writing tip is deployed for regular use. When the tip is retracted, the rear of the pen reveals a tungsten carbide glass breaker. This extremely hard material allows vehicle windows to be broken quickly in emergencies, for example to rescue occupants when immediate action is required.
The NTP31 is constructed from aluminium, a lightweight yet strong material commonly used in the aerospace industry. This results in a durable pen that remains comfortable to carry throughout the day. For writing, it uses a Schneider Gelion 39 refill in the standard Parker format, ensuring easy replacement and wide availability.
