The Helikon-Tex UTS Shorts bring tactical functionality to an urban silhouette. Built on the same proprietary cut as the Urban Tactical Pants, these shorts offer the same thoughtful organisation and durability in a version suited to warmer conditions.
The fabric is a PolyCotton Stretch Ripstop weighing 220 g/m², composed of 50% polyester, 48% cotton, and 2% elastane. Polyester and cotton together deliver breathability and fast drying, while the elastane adds two-way stretch for freedom of movement during dynamic activity. The Ripstop weave reinforces the fabric structure, preventing minor damage from spreading and extending the lifespan of the shorts.
The low-profile cut keeps the tactical nature of the shorts discreet. Profiled legs, the correct rise height, and a rear yoke prevent the shorts from slipping and improve comfort during extended wear. Even when fully loaded with gear, the silhouette stays clean — no bunching or the bulky look typical of classic combat trousers.
The UTS Shorts feature 10 functional pockets in total. The two front pockets have reinforced edges, allowing a multitool, flashlight, or clip knife to be carried safely without abrading or pulling the fabric. The thigh area offers four pockets: two secured with YKK zippers and two with hook-and-loop closure, all sized to hold AR magazines or larger EDC accessories. The two wide rear pockets each contain a narrower inner pocket for small items that need to stay within reach.
The waistband adjusts via hook-and-loop with up to 6 cm of adjustment range, complemented by elastic tape at the rear for a secure fit. Wide belt loops accommodate belts up to 50 mm, including tactical options such as the Cobra. Additional loops on the front belt loops allow gear to be attached quickly without overfilling the pockets.
