Dehydration often occurs during and after physical exertion (sports) at high temperatures. Excessive sweating, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, burns, or the use of certain medications can also lead to dehydration. Be alert and always have O.R.S. within reach. A combination of the right amounts of salts and glucose increases the absorption of water during physical exertion or when the fluid balance in your body is out of balance. Instructions:
Dosage for adults and children over 20kg: Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in 200ml of reliable drinking water (do not use in combination with other liquids/beverages).
Dosage for children under 20 kg: Dissolve 1 sachet in 200 ml of reliable drinking water. Stir until the powder is completely dissolved. As a benchmark, use 10 ml per kilogram of body weight and administer it every hour for 4 to 6 hours. In infants, we recommend one teaspoon of O.R.S. every 2-4 minutes. to administer the solution. The solution can be given with a spoon or from a (sterilized) bottle. Give the O.R.S. solution preferably before bottle or breastfeeding, it will then be easier to drink enough. Then offer the food as usual. Even if you need less solution, you still have to dissolve 1 sachet in 200 ml of water. Then use the correct amount and discard the remaining solution or store according to the storage advice.
